What was then known as the American Business Club became Spruce Pine Kiwanis. So, on May 18, 2007, Spruce Pine Kiwanis will be celebrating their 50th anniversary as a club. Club members are very excited about how far the club has come over the last 50 years and look forward to what the future holds in the next 50 years.
Club members will be celebrating their anniversary with a big bash at the Chalet Restaurant in Little Switzerland. Good food and good fellowship will begin the evening and be followed by a short program in which past and future Kiwanis presidents will be sharing their thoughts about the club. Then club members will dance the night away to the music of “Back Then.” All Kiwanis members are encouraged to bring their spouses and celebrate 50 years of dedicated service to the community.
