May 8 Meeting of Spruce Pine Kiwanis
Last week Jaclyn Helms, Jill Acuff & Zach Acuff from Mitchell High School entertained Kiwanians with a preview of their current production, '1940s Radio Show' which will be presented at MHS May 11 & 12 at 7 pm and May 13 at 3 pm. Tickets purchased in advance are $7 for adults and $5 for children, $3 less than the
'door price.'
Congratulations to the following who were elected club officers and directors by acclimation for 2007-2008:
President, Luther Stroup; President-Elect, Jack
Hancox; Secretary, Joe Miller; Asst Secretary, Guy Ross; Treasurer, Fran McFerren; Directors for 3-year terms expiring 2010, Louise Buchanan and Brenda Willis; and Jack Jones who was elected to fill the unexpired term of Jack Hancox ending in 2008. David Pike will remain a member of the board as Immediate Past President.
